I’m finally coming into my own in the crochet world. That’s right, folks: I’ve started my first cardigan! (Yes, I am aware that the high in Brooklyn for at least the next week is 90 degrees. What of if?)
I’m just about done with the yoke, and I couldn’t be more pleased with how it’s turning out. In the not too distant future, I will look like one spectacularly sassy little old lady in a fancy new lace sweater! (Mind you, I always kind of look like a sassy little old lady.)
For those of you on Ravelry, I’m using this Chevron Lace Cardigan pattern.
I haven't yet braved a crochet garment (partly because I'm unreasonably stuck in the mindset that crochet is for home decor, partly because I fudge my crocheted edges a lot) but that is such a pretty pattern I may give it a whirl. Summer's the perfect time for a cardigan for me because my office building goes crazy on the air conditioning! Thanks for sharing!
Office AC is exactly the reason why I'm making it now!
Danke, Rx. The yarn's naturally dyed organic cotton: the Linea Pura line by Lana Grossa. Pain to work with, but looks great! (Same can be said about my hair.)
Mad cute! What yarn is that? Also, loving your hair, Haleyface.
this is such a great outfit, the cardigan looks great!
I am making the chevron lace cardigan. I am having a problem with the sixth row, which is the fifth row repeated. The end of the the 6th row does not lay in line with the 5th row. Am I doing something wrong? Can you please help? Thank you!!!
I was able to find the problem. Thanks anyway.
