Sunday Snapshot: Crocheted Air Plant Chandelier

GRDN finally received their air plant order (only $6.00 each for small plants!), so I got 4 new plant-babies this afternoon. Of course, this meant that I needed to make a new air plant chandelier.

I used 3 of the coveted CB2 whirly hanging candle holders. (I originally bought 4, but only 3 made it home on the subway in one piece.)

Then, thanks to the hook I borrowed from my BFF, I crocheted the twine, which was much faster and easier than braiding.

Now, let’s hope that it doesn’t hang low enough for the cats to think it’s a toy…

  1. I almost bought some air plants yesterday, but they were $4 ea & there were so many of them, I couldn't decide, so I got some normal plants instead. I bought a large crown of thorns, 2 types of ivy sort of stuff, a Rex begonia, & a new type of aloe. Maybe next time I go to my favorite nursery, I'll buy an air plant to start off with.
