I spent all day Saturday volunteering with some friends and coworkers for New York Cares Day. Because we’re book people, we were on a team in charge of repainting a middle school library. As expected, most of the room was slated to remain a standard shade industrial beige. But, for some reason, the columns were updated from super-bland to BRIGHT RED. I totally believe in miracles because—even without masking tape—we somehow managed to not get red paint all over each other/the books/everything else in the room.
Note my awesome museum hat.
