As you know, I write about making. So, if you click through the link below, you may find yourself wondering, “What in the world does this site have to do with that?”
Well, the answer is simple. The fine folks at Dear MacArthur Foundation are making brilliance, one post at a time. They are making snark, and wit, and truth. They are making art. (They are not, however, making any money. If you are, they think that you—or the MacArthur Foundation—should send them some.)
Full disclosure: Aubrey Henretty, one of the writers, has been a close pal for years and years. But, as you can see from the above plea for cash, she’s clearly not paying me to write this. I’m sharing this link with you because I think that the writing is great, and that making great writing is hard. I think that you should take a few minutes out of your Friday to enjoy something awesome that someone else made.
If you don’t like it, you can have an angry cat instead.
