Memorial Day Weekend Wrap-Up

I tried to keep my Memorial Day weekend plans reasonable. To avoid a bout of sudden-onset craft paralysis triggered by the overwhelming possibilities of a long weekend, I limited my project list to 3 things that I especially wanted to do. I’m happy to say that, by the end of the weekend, I had managed to complete 2.5 of the 3. (Find your obligatory Meatloaf here.)

1. A Terrarium
I found this great antique glass container, but I didn’t get to Dig in time to get the rest of the supplies. (Speaking of which, anybody have any leads on really long tweezers?)

2. A Skirt
Due to my love of primary colors, I made an accidentally patriotic skirt. I love the stripe!

3. Chocolate Chip Cookies
Finally, I made a batch of salted chocolate chip cookies for my wonderful, patient husband. (I used my regular recipe with a little fleur de sel sprinkled on top.) Salt and chocolate are quite possibly the most joyous food combination known to man. You should go make some.

In addition to my planned projects, I also worked a bit on my chevron lace cardigan. The gauge is finally correct, and all is right in the world!

I hope you all had a great long weekend too!
