Wedding Anniversary Week: DIY Mason Jar Twinkle Lanterns

Mason jar twinkle lanterns are incredibly easy to make—all you need is a glass jar, a string of holiday lights, and some craft wire for the hanger—but they add great atmosphere to a party, indoors or out. Our reception was outside, so we hung our lanterns on the fence around the garden to add a little sparkle to the evening.

At the end of the wedding weekend, I brought a couple of lanterns back with me to Brooklyn. A year later, I’m so glad I did. They’re much safer than candles for a cat-friendly home like ours, and we use them all the time.
