I Need Emmy Shoes! Vegan Emmy Shoes!

If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you already know what I’m about to say. But, just in case you don’t stalk me across all forms of social media, I’ll let you in a little secret: MY HUSBAND WAS NOMINATED FOR AN EMMY!! (Commence obligatory girlie jumping and screeching.)

Okay, so it isn’t a secret at all. In fact, it’s on the Emmy website. So, like every proud wife with an Emmy-nominated husband, I’ve been running around like a crazy person trying to figure out what I’m going to wear to the Creative Arts Awards and Ball.

After searching high and low for a dress that was both perfect and vegan, I’ve finally settled on this hot little number from Dalia MacPhee. (By the way, do you know how hard it is to find a vegan evening gown?!)

Now that I’ve ordered the dress, I need some serious shoe help. More specifically, I need help deciding which shoes to wear. These are the choices I have so far:

C. Metallic Glamorous Flat

Personally, I like the Ally Maryjane Shoe from Vegetarian Shoes, but my BFF says they’re not black tie enough. (She’s totally right, but I’m still grouchy about it.)

So, what do you think?

I don’t mind saying that I’m completely out of my element here, so if anyone wants to send me links to amazing shoes that I’ve overlooked, please feel free.

  1. I think B is your best bet. I have similar shoes from the same designer and they are surprisingly comfortable. I also like that they are black. It keep s the whole look elegant and simple. Adding color is tricky and can go terribly wrong when not done perfectly. Although, I have complete faith in your ability to be a perfectionist! =)

B and C are both excellent, they go with the dress best and seem the most "dressy" I dont know if these are your style, but my hands down favorite vegan shoe line is Melissa. I may or may not own 12-13 pairs from various sample sales. If you are unfamiliar, they are based in Brazil and are made from recycled rubber so theyre also waterproof and easy to clean, AND they're all scented to smell like fruit.

Several places in the city sell em
